I agree.  Went to my MIL's for Thanksgiving last year.  She really doesn't want to cook anymore and deal with dishes.  She ordered a turkey (very large one) with all the sides from a local restaurant and it was delicious!  All that for less than $160.

Re: $160 for a ham?

[ Edited ]

Wowzer!  I just saw this.  Same size as a KC ham, but well over TWICE the price.  Some people think the KC is high, but it's an excellent ham.  I've purchased it many times over the years and was always very pleased.

I don't usually jump on the 'are you kidding me with this price' bandwagon, but this is shockingly high.    Just wow!!

Maybe there is something superior about it - I don't know, as I just happened upon the presentation beginning (I'm in the 30minute buffer so I'm behind live tv).     I can't really imagine what would make it worth almost $100 more than the KC brand, but who knows!   Smiley Wink

Do you know what groceries cost here in California?..... Keeps going up, up, up.

Anyway, I am one person and don't need a big ham and I don't like them pre sliced..

If you're rich, have a big family and are very busy, I guess this would make sense. I adore Martha but our lives are very opposite.

Pardon my ignorance but is this QVC or Saks Fifth Avenue?

I live in California and agree that things are really expensive here and getting worse, but I have never seen a $160.00 ham.  Think you are paying for the name, all her food products seem to be way over priced.
