I bought a Kitchen Aid food processor with the 2 bowls, and adjustable slice adjustment. With Q's extended Christmas return, I decided this was the time to see if I really used & benefited from it.
The answer is a a resounding "Yes."
I shop once/week. I wash all of the vegetables & process them for the whole weeks food. (except for potatoes, apples & avocados) I use between 4-10 onions a week, so that really saves time. I keep my refrigerator cold & have not any quality loss.
It is great for making healthy snack food such as hummus. (also makes some great not so healthy snacks like cheese spread or liver pate
)
Easy to make filling for pot stickers, spinach pie, small apple dumplings that I can freeze & cook when I want a special treat.
