Ordered a Ripka ring on sale for $38, received a Affinity Diamond ring for $500. I just could't keep it, I immediately called to tell QVC about the mistake that was made. I know I will get rewarded in another way.

@Tylerpoo  i hope at least they thanked you!  And didn't make you pay return postage LOL! Smiley Happy

Reminds me of a story.  My friend moved into a new home (this was years ago).   The drapes were part of the deal and stayed with the home.  She took them down to have them cleaned and found, sewn into the hem of one of the drapes - a honker of a diamond ring.  Clearly someone had hidden it there and forgotten about it.  She returned it to the previous owners, as she would want them to have done had the tables been turned.

Since when should we expect a reward for doing what is right?

Why not?  A lot of people wouldn't have.   A reward is a nice thing whenever someone does something they didn't have to do, whatever it is.  I agree she did the right thing, yet it's still nice to be recognized for so doing.

A few years back, QVC credited my account with a $1200.00 payment.  I didn't make that payment and it gave me about a $1100.00 credit balance.  They posted someone else's payment on my account.  I called and told them about the mistake.  I think it was GE credit.  I don't think they cared one way or another.

I have done similar things in the past and the feeling of doing the right thing is part of the reward.  Nice to know there are people out there thinking of others.

Good for you!  Yes, I think you'll be rewarded in other ways too. Besides that some woman will complain she got the wrong ring, and you'll help to straighten it out. It's a busy time of year, and people can make mistakes. They are running around half asleep. I'm retired, so I give them the benefit of the doubt.
