What do you think of these? Do they get wet when you wash your hands?

That's difficult to answer- not all leather bracelets are created equal! The one offered on lts today seems like a bust though.

I think a leather bracelet would be uncomfortable to wear in the summer months or hot climate. I am not that crazy about them but I am not completely turned off by them. I would possibly purchase one, just one.

If you don't keep them clean they kind of have a bad smell after a while.

I consider them to be temporary or disposable jewelry because it's going to absorb skin oils and perspiration and that rots leather.

I ordered a leather bracelet from the Steel by Design line at QVC. I loved it, but it broke within a month after purchasing it. Smiley Sad Other reviews said the same. I only wore it to work and was careful with it too, but the leather strands were very thin.

A284421 - set of 2 leather bracelets, one with puffed heart by Steel By Design

I have 2 sets of this one, first I bought grey & black set, then I had to have the pink (w/blk). I wear the grey & pink and never take them off. The grey has faded just a bit but mine have held up beautifully. The minute I got them I put them on and have never taken them off - except for a surgery I had.

I love mine. You may find them a bit stiff at first but with wear they certainly soften. After reading other responses here, I do disagree with all of them. Mine do not smell, they are not stinky, never have been and they do not get slimy in soap and/or water. They have not broken, they are not at all worn out. Like I said, they've softened with wear. And honestly since I do wear them all the time, they stay very clean.

I've had a few leather bracelets for years, and they've held up well, though I don't wear them every day. As far as hand washing, I push up the bracelet a bit, just like when I wear a watch with a leather band.

I actually have a leather bracelet I got as a child, maybe 10. It was big then, and it's a bit snug now, but it's held up beautifully. Occasionally I put some leather conditioner on it. I also have several from SBD, which have held up nicely. I don't wear any of them every day, but like them enough that I bought a new one the other day at the Q outlet, black leather with a good sized pearl.
