Thank you. The handmade piece was made for the gemologist by her DH which was also a gemologist and coached her through her career.
I wear quite a bit of handmade pendants (and some bracelets) in Outfit Of The Day.

Over time, it will indeed lose it's color if kept in sunlight too often. It's a stone that should be worn in the evening. Hardness is well suited for rings too, though that doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful with them.
Kunzite is treated (by heat) to stabilize the color. The treatment is not permanent and that's part of why it can turn from pinky/purplish to clear.
