different JR color?

I received the "wrapped in love" bracelet that co-ordinated with the TSV ring (which I have not yet received). I put it on with older JR gold clad pieces and was surprised to see how much lighter the gold color was on the new piece. Anyone else experience this? Do you think she is using a new gold "recipe"?
