Zircon is so durable that it has survived countless geological events in history. They never get destroyed but rather they just develop more layers of zircon material around them which are like tree rings. The more geological rings, the older it is.

I have a beautiful Zircon ring. It is a square cut blue stone in the center surronded by diamonds in white gold. It is very sparkley. It is the Birthstone (December) of my Husbnad, Son, Grandson & Granddaughter.

She's talking about Zircon, a natural mined from the Earth gemstone.  White Zircon looks like a diamond and is high on the Mohs scale so it's a perfect diamond substitute.   Cubic zirconia is a cheap man made diamond stimulant.

CZ's ARE A MAN MADE MATERIAL USED TO MIMMICK THE LOOK OF DIAMONDS.  IT IS NOT A NATURAL MATERIAL (mother earth).  It is A CREATION OF A LABORATORY.

I love Zircon too.  My favorite color is clear (which is usually a heat treated blue).  I don't own any other color except clear because of the sparkle factor.  @SilleeMee You are correct in comes in an array of colors.  Zircon is a natural stone (all colors).

Cubic Zirconia (man made) is not fashioned after diamonds.  It's earliest iteration was to mimmick the look of zircons.

Oh my goodness.  I love, love, love those earrings.  If I were to get colored zircons my first pick would of course, be the blue.  It's beautiful.

It won't resemble a blue topaz or aquamarine, zircon has this look that is unlike any other blue stone in my op.  Then the sparkle?  I know you love them @SilleeMee .
