Good morning and happy Saturday to us all.

The sun keeps playing peek-a-boo but is supposed to come out full force today, with temps pushing 90. After a rather chilly week, I turned the a/c back on yesterday in the afternoon.

DBGD has learned new tricks. Besides whistling to the bird, she appears to be saying some word spontaneously, such as thanks, & bye. She's also shaking her head "no" at the appropriate time - oy! Although the crawling is speedy, every chance she gets she's walking & trying to maintain her balance on her own, which she can do only for seconds right now. Teeth are popping up in her mouth so that soon she will be toothless no more, at least for 60 years or so. When we watch utube videos she sings along, albeit not in tune nor with words one might understand. She's eating Cherrios and using a sippy cup somewhat. Yesterday I caught her feeding her bear some of her vegetable cookie, which she loves. Next Saturday she's one year old! What a blessing to be able to be witness to her activity.

DS#1 is due for more surgery soon. Because of severe pain and the "no life" it gives him, he has chosen to try bone decompression in hopes of stimulating blood circulation to his leg and decreasing the pain and the amount of pain meds he must consume. There is not a very high probability that this will work, but he is desperate. He thought he needed bilateral knee replacement, but his ortho surgeon said no; the knees were fine. But the bones above and below are not, and that's where they're going with this procedure.

Dh is still suffering from sciatica and is trying a new med these last few days in hope of getting relief.

Off to get some things done, and maybe read a few posts too, before heading out to a game.

Make it a great day!
