Good afternoon and happy Thursday to us all.

We've hopped on over to summertime weather we is supposed to stick around for awhile.

While my day of visiting with my sister and BIL was great, the almost 6 hour round trip drive by myself was not. With the federal stimulus money being put to good use with road/bridge repairs is a great thing, the side effect of traffic jams is not so great. And I forgot how tedious it can be driving for that extended period of time.

Even though I plan to watch Miss Judy with all her shows, I seem to be having a very hard time mustering the usual excitement. I read a blip in the paper a few days ago, relating how silver prices are dropping and that silver wasn't a good investment metal compared to gold, which retains a higher value no matter what. Maybe my resentment of the price increases has something to do with it or it may just be the affect left on my by my "buycott." It's hard to tell. Oh well.

Off to get some chores done. Book club meeting tonight.
