Good afternoon and happy Sunday to us all.

Another glorious spring day. The weather is to take a rainy & colder turn tomorrow. You know about those April showers!

DH planted the bulbs and six plants almost near dinner time, our day was so crazy that was the only open time for us both. In the process I saw how yucky parts of the garden have become and I don't like it, but not enough to try and do something myself. Actually, the arthritis in my hands prevents me from doing anything productive in either the veggie or flower gardens. Poor DH; he has chores awaiting.

My hair went from a little below shoulder length to short, the way it used to be prior to growing it out. I really wanted it a bit shorter but my stylist said she can do it if I wish when I see her next month. It looks good, but will be better when tomorrow I wash out the gunk put in to style it. Carefree hair! I'm good, Dead Eye.

DTGD is here while her daddy does campaigning door to door. She napping right now. When she arrived she immediately spied the cowgirl outfit I got for her so she can really ride her "pole" horsey which she got last week. Posted pics on FB because she looks so stinkin' cute. She immediately termed herself a sheriff!

Off to get dinner started while she's still napping.

Make it a great week!

Hi Kappy - had a productive day out in the yard, mowing the lawn, trimming back the roses that seem to be grabbing out at you as you walk up the sidewalk. Removed lots of leaves that had nestled themselves under all the bushes and plants throughout the yard. Off to the dump to get rid of the debris and then a trip to the store to get my MIL a new recliner for Mother's Day - a bit early but I couldn't stand the one she had one more minute, it was falling apart. She loved it. so it was a nice way to end the day.

I saw that cute little sheriff of yours and her darling outfit. She is a cutie. Reminds me a little of Shirley Temple in her young days.

Enjoy your week!

I'm sorry Kaplan, I haven't really followed your posts, so please forgive me for the question...what seat is your son (or son-in-law) running for? If he's out knocking on doors, he will be very successful at it!! No better way to get out and meet the people you hope to represent. And your dtgd has it right...aim high and don't settle for deputy when you can be the sheriff!

Hello Ladies!

I haven't been on these boards in weeks!

Glad you got to enjoy some gardening. I am getting over my 2nd nasty cold in a month. I think I got this one on the plane. Ugh. Back on antibiotics.

Went to a meet & greet at our local library for author Jane Green. She's written about 15 novels - known for her "chick-lit" books. I've read The Beach House - enjoyed it. It was fun and there were some serious writers to be. Funny how we just assume by looking at people - there was a young African American male in typical student clothing - sweats, hoody and I'm thinking what is he doing here listening to a 40 something woman from Westport, CT? Well, you had to hear the intelligent questions he asked re writing. He just blew me away. Never assume!

Had nice news this a/m - I put 2 pounds on while in Greece. Surprised it was just 2#, but more than expected. This morning got weighed at my Weight Watchers' meeting - I lost 2.4#! Yes! Down 29 pounds!

Can't believe we about to begin another work week! UGH!! Have a good one!

Way to go Roe. 29 pounds! Such control while on vacation. That's hard to do. That must have been interesting to meet Jane Green. I read The Beach House too! It's the only one I can think of by that author. See ya in a few weeks.

Kap, so glad to hear you are happy with your haircut! You had me worried for a minute there!

I also saw your Little Sheriff, what a darling!
