Good morning and happy Wednesday to us all.
The snow is still there, but primarily on grassy areas. It's currently 20 degrees so what's there isn't going anywhere fast unless it warms up considerably. In my outfit for the gym, shorts & hoodie, I went out to shovel yesterday before the gym. By the time I was done a half hour later, my legs were really red! I think in the future I shall put on a pair of sweats over top of the old gams. You get so hot shoveling but I didn't think it through to all the bare skin on my legs. At any rate, I am a lot calmer this AM knowing that the ice & snow have virtually disappeared from walkways and streets. It was really cold yesterday, hovering around 30 and a stiff breeze, but I suppose the rays of the sun are getting stronger to help melt the junk. I hope everyone else affected by that storm fared as well.
DH woke yesterday saying how nauseous (sp) he had been all night, he thought from probably eating too much before bed, for he stays up into the wee hours. When I came back from the gym I found him almost huddled over the kitchen table, trying to make sense of written stuff. He said he felt lousy - nauseous, achy all over. I told him to take his temp & it was up 3 degrees from his normal low temp. I told him it sounded like the flu to me and to call the internist. He reminded me that, unlike me, he had the flu shot in the early fall. Got an appointment in the early PM and the test did show he indeed has the flu, with the beginnings of bronchitis too. He's taking tamiflu, cough medicine & Tylenol. Hopefully this will not morph into something more serious. Thankfully, he is still sleeping. After everything with DS these past three months, I'm frankly surprised that our immune system hasn't let us down more.
Off to read some posts and get some things done before it's time to go to the gym.
Make it a great day!
