Good morning and happy Saturday to us all.

It may be time for ark building. The rain, and more rain, and more rain seems to have no end. At 62F all the ice is doing a quick melt and that spells trouble - FLOODING! I hope the pundits and I am wrong.

DTGD actually had a terrible two moment yesterday. She refused to use the potty before lunch, wash her hands & called her Pop Pop yucky. We had to work very hard at it not to laugh because this was some serious stuff going on. We left her alone for a while and she finally agreed to wash, but nothing else. Her Pop Pop wasn't speaking with her and she knew I wasn't happy either. We had lunch in the usual manner, minus the banter between she and her Pop Pop. When she finished she came over to me to ask if Pop Pop was happy and I told her he was not. And then I tried giving an explanation as she sat on my lap so sweetly. Using the potty & washing was the easy part; trying to explain why using yucky for a person wasn't okay, but using it for an object was okay, was much more problematic. I felt I was going around in circles, but perhaps not entirely. I told her that she still needed to apologize to Pop Pop and she did. Crisis solved at least temporarily.

Off to laundry and the newspaper.
