Re: Who will be QVC's next Jewelry Star?

[ Edited ]

Unless for the campaign with diamonds, young women are at its prime and don't need excessive decorations, unless it is wedding.

Most people I know started to be interested in jewelry in their 30-s and 40-s, after kids grom up and you have more income you can spend on yourself.

Younger bloggers wear more diamonds and colored stones in multiply. The earrings trend where the more the merrier is big. Wearing multiply rings is trendy too.

QVC makes excellent band rings. And it often gets sold out. I hope QVC would make a version of Pomellato ring.

I would love to see more stainless steel designs. Stainless steel is sturdy which I love.  I also like the gold tone.  I would rather have gold tone stainlees steel instead of gold over silver.  Gold tone is fine with me.  I have a gold tone stainless steel heart necklace that is chunky that i purchased from Q years ago and it looks exactly the same as the day I ordered it.Smiley Happy

While channeling through, I happened to come across the presentation with Joel and Jane.  She was prattling on about wearing her pearls to "the happy place" recently and also some little ad lib about the daughters.  Joel said, "let's get back to the necklace." Woman Very Happy

Too bad more vendors don't pull her back into the moment and get her back on track.

Well that is too funny @tends2dogs .  I've never seen a vendor attempt to get Jane back on track!

@San Antonio Gal  I remember reading once that either Susan Graver told Jane to stop talking or Jane told Susan.

QVC isn't big when it comes to jewelry.  They sell it but they don't have jewelry "stars" anymore.  Those days are gone.

I am glad I purchased many beautiful Ripka pieces.  I still wear them along with my sensational Barbara Bixby pieces.  They are all still gorgeous.  Today they would be probably unaffordable.  As far as JAI - I am have also purchased some gorgeous pieces from that brand also.  They all stand the test of time!!!!!

Designer recognized jewelry, and handbags, are overpriced, and do not impress me. I find nothing unique about them, and other companies produce copies, with only subtle differences.

The best handbag I've ever had was bought at Target.

Given Q's inventory, it's difficult to imagine any jewelry star.

There will not be another like Robert Lee Morris.  His stuff was beautiful and well priced until the end of his reign.  Gold now is out of control as is sterling. So glad I got so many pieces from my mom and back when prices were affordable.  ;I really do not need any more jewelry.  How much can one wear???

When JRipka was Ripka and not bought out....i bought lots. Fun group of Ripkanistas and quality jewelry.   Ann King, Tacori, Bixbey had great designs.  Rarely buy jewelry now....and basically wear my few symbolic signature pieces...and occasionally pearls.
