I think Beth does a fantastic job of representing Judith's line. She knows everything about each and every piece produced. I, personally, enjoy watching her present the pieces.

I prefer Beth over Allison or her son. I think she does a fantastic job and is very knowledgeable.

I'm not from New York but don't find her accent a turn-off at all.

Beth does a phenomenal job - love watching her and her knowledge of the jewelry.

Grace, if you don't like a person's accent, perhaps you should turn your attention to other jewelry channels to find the accent that is acceptable to you. Your comments are incendiary and I think, purposefully so. When Allison was on, many people said unkind things about her. When Judith is presenting, people say unkind things about her, too. There is just no pleasing everyone. We all have different accents, depending upon our geographical location. That is part of what makes us all unique individuals. We are all human beings, and I think we need to find a way to be kinder to each other, rather than less kind and less tolerant. Well that's my sermon for today!

One more issue about Beth. For a national audience, she's way too regional in her demeanor and accent and that's a real turnoff.

What a senseless, needless comment.

It's not "senseless and needless" -- if QVC polled the audience, you'd find this is an issue. I'm a branding consultant and know what I'm talking about. And, I'm from New York originally with an accent!

Me too! I was actually surprised how well she did right out of the gate! Seemed like she'd been doing it for years.

I don't need your sermon. As I mentioned above, I was born and raised in the NY area and I'm addressing this from a branding perspective. This was not intended to be unkind in any way--just an observation, based on helping clients with issues like this one.

I think the issue is more about putting a non-family member on air to represent the JR line, regardless of the accent or presentation skills.

Poor Judith is just over worked and can't get her butt out of bed. I have posted about this before. She should be ready for an 8:00 show. Most vendors with a TSV manage to do this. She just assumes her name will sell her jewelry and it probably does. As you can tell I am not one of her fans. Over priced and too much diamonique.

I agree. I feel like we're being taken for granted. I understand they have many shows scheduled, but it's not every day and you'd think Judith, Brian and Allison could power through it for just a weekend. Honestly, it can't be that big a deal to show up.

BINGO!! We have a winner here! Smiley Happy

By the comments I see today (and have for the past week) you would think the Pope is coming to town! Her fans are really quite OBSESSED and will buy ANYTHING she puts out there at ANY price and think they've found the crown jewels! Seriously!

What's funny is JR's lack of appreciation for these obsessed fans...and instead of SHOWING UP for her shows or even having her family SHOW UP, she throws in a company rep. But no, she's too busy getting her 'beauty rest' and her family probably as more important things to do. Besides these obsessed crazy fans will buy it no matter what and she really doesn't have to show up anyway!

And yes, I agree it should have been called the JR Day...not Sterling Designer Gallery....14K clad and diamonique mass manufactured by the tens of thousands in almost a thousand different pieces does NOT exactly scream Designer Silver to me! A designer would not have this many pieces if they actually designed everything themselves. And a true designer would not 'clad' anything! Fake stones? Not for the real deal designers! And they would also take the time to show up for their own shows. THAT is a true 'designer'.

JR should mass market to Walmart...that's probably an ideal audience/match she should make!

I don't see this as an "obsessive fan" thing. You'd think that with all the comments/concerns at QVC surrounding JR pricing/quality etc., which creates some instability among the customer base, the last thing they'd want to do at JR, Inc. is throw in a SVP on air who is not the best spokesperson. Or, who creates just another deviation from what customers expect. Bottom line is that customer loyalty=sales for JR and QVC. And, IMHO, they are potentially messing up a winning formula.
