Dang, I hope they aren't being phased out! I really like their stuff and have bought several pieces. Didn't the Q sell a brand called Duragold years ago? I saw some of those pieces on Amazon recently and seem to remember they were on some shopping channel. The Duragold prices on Amazon are pretty attractive.

I've only seen Duragold on Amazon. I recall HSN had a line of durable gold, but I don't recall their name for it. If you do some digging, Eternagold and Duragold are both owned by Richline Group, but I believe they are separate subsidiaries.

Thanks, ennui. I was wrong, as usual. I may try a piece or two of it, though, to see how I like it.

Obviously it isn't selling at today's gold prices. Often the simplest answer is the correct one.

I saw the recent show and thought the same thing!! Gold prices are high and not many want to spend that much on jewelry. Don't know if EG would want to ""dumb"" down their gold formula! I also have several pieces from Ted from years ago. I do like Ted's presentations...he is such a gentleman!

Re: What's going on with Eterna Gold

The quality of their jewelry has gone downhill. As with a lot of jewelers, they dumbed down their jewelry because of gold prices and just can't get back on track.

I don't want anymore 1-2-3 gram chains or bracelets.

I absolutely avoid bracelets when there is a cheesy little lobster claw. A clasp should never be narrower than the bracelet.

I hate that EG gold logo tag stuck between the product (bracelet, chain) and clasp as it ruins the flow of the bracelet.

His designers need to remember what EG used to be and find ways to incorporate that back into their jewelry.

If you really want good gold jewelry in today's market, go to sarrafdotcom. Great prices and quality. I've never been disappointed.
