I've purchased a few pieces of jewelry and some loose gems.

By far, their gold jewelry is lacking. They have very little 14k. What gold they have is usually 10k. And the gold settings are lightweight unless you pay for the higher priced items (but what isn't anymore?).

First off my opinion of JTV is really doesn't matter. They are a top jewelry and loose gem stone dealer period. They educate their consumer verses just selling stuff. The show host are personable, in fact through facebook one helped arrange for me to buy a museum quality tanzanite. Yes they have costume jewelry lines like titanic, which by the way is interesting if you watch. They teach you history through the pieces. But they deal in high in expensive, legit product. One of their co founders was named the third all time gemologist this year. He was a down home guy who wanted to share luxury with regular people. Before judging them please do your research.

Customer Service was excellent and the people were wonderful to deal with. If you sign up for email, you get coupons and special deals. They have really nice sales (Q doesn't do a lot of that.) I had not trouble with returns or exchanges.

Yes - host Heidi Williams is married to one of the co-founders of the company Bill Kouns (spelling?) and Heidi's sister is host Wendy Williams. I think the both of them are gawd-awful hosts but they are obviously not going anywhere because of the connection to Mr. Kouns..

I like JTV and watch it often, I like real gold which they have and real diamonds which they have at reasonable prices....they are not selling trinkets. I don't see anything wrong with their host in fact one I recognize that use to be with Shop HQ. I don't watch all the time but I look to see what is coming up and if it interest me I watch. I did buy a birthstone ring in 14kt and love it, the shipping was very reasonable and the length of time was fast to receive my order, my friend purchased a watch that had to go back and it was handled with great speed and concern and she had her new watch in not time. I think they are as good if not better in some areas than the Q, HSN, and Shop HQ.

Just because JTV is in Tennessee doesn't mean all the hosts are from there. Michele Lau doesn't have that southern accent as she is from MN. Libby Floyd is now there after leaving ShopHQ so she doesn't have that heavy accent.

The one and only item I ever purchased from JTV was a black spinel necklace. I bought it because I had a coupon and the s/h was reduced. The necklace is nice, I will keep it but I'm not sure I would order a lot from them. I don't really see much that interests me.

I only started buying from JTV last year. If you like silver & quality gemstones JTV is good for you. They have very high quality Ethiopian opals, tanzanite, many fine topazes, pearls etc. and alot of stones you don't see on other shopping channels. I have never ordered a diamond from them because I believe you get what you pay for and at 199.00 you won't get a 1000.00 diamond! Their host are mostly awful-some of the women look like they came in without even combing their hair & some-like Heidi are too old to have that very long hair! I usually shop on line so I don't have to listen to them, but they do present items much faster than all the other shopping channels! Most of the hosts were on the Shop at Home channel before it folded about 10 years ago!
