What is your experience with jewelry that has broken?

I just had a pair of gold earrings break, where the snap bar is supposed to go. It has been over thirty days since they've been purchased but I've only worn them twice. So disappointing. Does anyone know what the Q's policy is regarding these circumstances? I wrote CS of this dilemna as well. Thanks!
