Wow is this really necessary!! I need to stop participating in these forums because I seriously think I am losing faith in people when I read what people post! Her jewelry line is obviously something she is very proud of and that she works very hard manufacturing and promoting. She wears it all the time. This statement is totally disrespectful of her at this time. Especially saying it on a QVC forum!!
I love her jewelry . In fact earrings of hers were my first purchase from QVC ever. They still look brand new and Ive had them probably 15 years.

I admire Joan through and through. Her determination and survival skills are amazing. She's been through it all and somehow always managed to reinvent herself; now there's this. The hubris of life.........I can only say I'm hoping for the best. If anyone can rally back from something like this it's her.

I admire Joan for many reasons but the one I remember most was once she when she was appearing on QVC she talked about how some writer had disrespected a member of her staff. She said she called that person and told them that they would have a dozen roses with a note of apology on the desk of her staff member the next day. To me someone who supports their staff to that degree certainly gets my admiration.
I also remember her saying that Mothers-in-law should treat their DIL with respect because they take care of their sons.
However, my most delightful memory of Joan was her with Spike. How she loved that dog. I purchased a picture frame from her that contained a picture of Spike. I put a picture of my Yorkie in it and saved the picture of Spike. I cried when she announced that Spike had passed away.
I have prayed daily for Joan's recovery.

She was born the same year as my parents and in between.
May-my dad. June-Joan. July-my mom.
She made her debut in Carnegie Hall on my birthday.

My Mom and I use to watch Joan and Kathy and laugh our fool heads off. I remember when Joan's little dog Spike wandered onto the set and proceeded to "water" the leg of the coffee table. SO funny!!!!! Mom and I fell off the couch laughing.

newlook, i think you're a very morbid & insensitive person to have started such a thread, when thank g-d joan rivers is still alive. how do you think her daughter, melissa & her family would feel if they saw this thread? and anyone who replied to this post, should feel just as bad as the the original poster. you should all be ashamed of yourselves! doesn't anyone have any dignity any more?

The negative comments about this post seem unkind to me, when the poster obviously only meant well. I will keep my comments current. I have never had a good opinion of Joan Rivers & have no respect for her form of "humor". I agree that she has worked hard & has had some very tough times in her life, but I don't know many people who haven't done the same in their lives. It is surprising to me & very nice to hear that she was kind to people that we "know" here on the boards. I don't think that there are only certain times that we should say nice things about people. Or not nice things, if we believe them to be true. You reap what you sow. If we weren't having this discussion I wouldn't realize that there was a nicer, kinder side to a crude public persona. That seems good to me.

She was a strong and brave woman that could hold her own anywhere. She made a lot of people laugh. She was a survivor!
She helped me through a few tough times in my own life. Whenever I had to be brave ,I would wear her, "Star Pin" to help remind me of her strength.
OMG ,she will be sooo very much missed by many. I cannot imagine not seeing her again.
