Re: What do you remember the most about Joan Rivers?

JOAN & KATHY LEVINE.........Now THERE was a pair ! They were made for each other lol..

I have a necklace I bought from QVC 20 yrs. ago......a long gold chain with a heart on the end in black and gold crystals. Its a puffy little heart that even opens up. That necklace is one of my most prized possessions and looks the same as the day I received it !

I have watched Joan on QVC since the Kathy Levine days, those shows were something I always looked forward to. I started collecting the Victorian Pins, till this day I keep them in a beautiful glass display box, I never wear them, but to me they are my priceless little collection. You can't find workmanship like this anymore. Joan always made me laugh during her shows on QVC, I love her for that. I pray she recovers, I am so upset, and worried for her and her family.

Right now, I remember she's still alive and fighting for her life.

Joan Rivers with Dennis Basso on the Q - the Designing Duo! I thought that was fun to watch.

I did not like the title on the thread, she is not dead, she is in critical condition, but not dead!

Please reword what you enjoy about Joan Rivers, would sound better.

I love her whit and humor. Her interaction with the show hosts, especially Lisa Robertson.

"Love Ya, love ya back, mean it! " Makes me laugh every time she says it!

Prayers to the family for a fast recovery.

Re: What do you remember the most about Joan Rivers?

This title made me shiver as it read as though she passed away.

My husband and I are praying she recovers quickly.

Coma must be such a lonely dark place.....just so unimaginable, and a true journey into the inner unknown not willingly taken.

I hope her family talks to her often, as they say even in coma a person hears and feels.

Being a youthful looking 81 year old is wonderful, but numerous plastic surgery can only go so far and is outwardly cosmetic, nor involve the inner organs which have of coursed also aged.

The medical facts remain that the body of an 81 year old person has aged, but if her heart functions and she can breathe on her own after being removed from life sustaining medical support she may recover. To what extent is not yet know, but with that being said, our continued prayers for her full recovery will continue.

Oneanddone I keep missing you on the bb's, and I even paged you a few times in between my travels abroad. I was informed by another bb member that you got married. Congratulations to the both of you, and wishing you both continued joy.

Re: What do you remember the most about Joan Rivers?

Thank you for that link, GraceCO! Here's one of the comments after the blog post:

"I love Joan and Melissa. I am praying for them. My mother was on life support for seven months. They were telling us we had a fifteen percent chance that she would pull through. My mother is alive and well. It has been almost ten years. There is always hope! Melissa and Cooper stay strong!"

I don't see what rush there would be for Melissa to make an immediate decision, especially considering that money is not an obstacle to medical care. They don't have to get approval from an insurer in order to continue to get care. Granted, Joan is 81 and that's a factor. However, doctors and scientists don't understand the mysteries of the brain enough to be right all the time about a patient's prognosis.

Re: What do you remember the most about Joan Rivers?

I can recall a heckler at a stand up show. He shouted at her for making a joke he found ""insensitive"". She flat out told him and the audience. Joking about everything makes people deal with it rather than hiding what ever the issue is. Profound moment. It made me think.

I think she's a kind soul who has been hurt a great deal in life. I wish her and her family nothing but the best.

Re: What do you remember the most about Joan Rivers?

I was lucky enough to be in the studio audience on the last show with Kathy and Joan, it was a riot, they laughed and cried. Joan even bought a pony on the stage as a gift to Kathy, she also gave her a real Faberge egg. Joan said that everyone she loves in this world leaves her, it was very touching.
