@Shanus   It's a crazy world out there and has been for a long time if not always.  Years ago my grandmother told of a woman in her neighborhood who was bedridden. Two men broke into her home and demanded her diamond ring that she was wearing.  She couldn't get it off so they cut off her finger to get it!!!  

 

SOOO if you go out and about, wear the fake stuff, I guess......Woman EmbarassedWoman Sad

@tends2dogs  The fake ring is loose enough to slide right off with no finger cutting. What a scary story!  When Mom became so sick that she had 24/7 help, we took all her good jewelry and put it away here in my safe. Theives would only get a lot of plastic stuff.
