Hello Yellow. Yes we get excited over our watches. I also started out with just a few, then the more watch shows I viewed, enabled by this bunch I became a collector. Once I like some watch, I must have every color and variation. Just like this S Coifman YT I am wearing today also, LJ. I am expecting the SS today. Along with the meteorite dial Invicta. I'm so excited, it's like Christmas. ![]()

Hi Yellow, nice to hear from you again. I have a large number of Croton watches, bought over the years. I still enjoy them and they have held up very well. Most of the designs I have from Croton are very classic watches, some ladies and some men's styles that in those days were 36mm.
I've seen many of the new Croton watches in person (when I visited their corporate HQ). I have to say that in person these newer blingy watches are really stunning. I'm not a big fan of crystals, but many of these very blingy watches are beautifully made and very pretty.
My reaction surprised me. The mosiac opal dial watch with the double row fluted 'flower' bezel is stunning in person and that square watch bedecked in crystals also looks great in person. I don't know when and where I would personally wear them, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if I thought I'd get some use from these styles.
They are that nice.

Well I'm really at a loss for words. I like both but not thrilled with either. The biggest savings would be to return the meteorite. But the grey dial is unusual. But it doesn't scream 'Meteorite'. I like that one of the sub dials states the day of the week. Otherwise I wouldn't look at the sub dials. A waste for me. I can just strap it up and it's on the wrist. No sizing, love that.
Now the black MOP S. Coifman is a nice 33mm size and a clean dial. But overall it's not striking. When you own so many, the only reason to add more is that it's unique. To me this in not unique. The best choice by far is the yellow gold SCoifman with a white MOP. I already own that and I knew that was a keeper from first glance. Aub, you will love yours.
I guess I'm going to sleep on it and see what I think tomorrow in the sun. At this point I don't know what I am going to do.

Jena: did a good night's sleep make the decision any more clear to you? We both have tons of watches and don't need another one. So my best advice would be to return anything you don't really love. Our collections would be smaller and much better used if we had done that more often. I know that's true for me and I'm sure for others too.
I understand what you are saying about the SS S. Coifman. Althought I can't see your black mop dial, I know that often a black mop dial only shows it's colors in natural light and not indoors. I'm not sorry I kept mine. It's a classic, and automatic, and many of my watches are larger and heavier. So this one was a good addition for me. But did I need it.... no. And the GT version with the white mop dial and blue roman # is more striking.

LavJ my dial is a charcoal marshmallowy and not black. That's a plus. I don't have a charcoal MOP. My limited edition # is 5 out of 1000. Wow. I wonder where #1 is?
My just strap it on Meteorite dial will probably stay. I'm looking for them both to stay at this point. What is so hard about sending back a watch??? They all are unique in some fashion. What do I have? Till past Christmas to send it back? Lol. Limited #249 of 300.

Jena; that marshmallowy charcoal mop sound beautiful. I have a Karamica with a mop dial like that and I love it.
Sending a watch back is hard, sending a handbag back is hard. And that is why we have so many.

Hi ladies. Just checking in to say I'm still around!
I haven't even had my TV on some days, although now that hockey season has started that's what I'll be watching.
I finally got the garage finished, and now I'm starting on the basement. Ugh, so much junk there! I will discard some, donate some stuff and put some stuff on the bay.
I haven't been wearing a watch much. With the manual labor and painting I was doing, plus it's been hot and a watch seems to bother me some days. Now that it's cooling off I will wear one more often.
I dare not look to see how many need batteries! If I buy anything in the future I'm trying to get automatics. I also want to try to sell some of the less expensive ones that I never wear; I'll take a loss, but that's ok.
I hope everyone is well!

Hi Jazzy, nice to hear from you. I'm impressed with all you have been getting done. Good luck on your other projects. If they keep you from buying more watches and other stuff, then those projects are serving multiple purposes.
I saw some of Wing Liang's watch shows last night. Too bad the divemaster only came in 45 and 50mm sizes. Or maybe that was a good thing. If it had been available in
any size from 33mm - 40mm I would have bought at least one. There were a lot of great dial colors and it's an automatic too. I was saved.

It's October 6. Time flew by. I had a nasty fall and was preoccupied with recovery and another project has begun.
Great to hear from you, Jazzy.
Time for a new thread.
