I finally went and retrieved the Abyss from the PO. Love this watch in the stainless. The orient on the MOP is gorgeous. A glorious array of pinks, purples and green.

I own three watches with platinum MOP and they are beautiful, but all so different. If given an opportunity, I think I would like in the two-tone. (We are talking Once Only opportunity; I consider the SS version the best of the lot.

Java: glad your new SS Abyss is a winner. You, Jena, and I all got great mop dials. But I agree the platinum mop (like all mop) can be very different on different watches. My friend ordered the GT Abyss and the platinum mop is very nice,, but not as colorful as on my SS one. Don't know if it's random or whether they paired the more colorful mop with the SS where it works so well with the all white metal. And the platinum mop on my Excersion, from years ago, is also very different.

I checked out the inventory to see if I could make some use of the coupon which expires early today, but there were no deals good enough. I still want a SS Zeus with a Swiss movement.... but not enough to pay over $600, plus tax (which you know is a big # on an expensive watch) and shipping too.
