Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

Yes the price was nuts I just couldn't leave it without an owner. I can see this watch with a crisp white shirt and blue jeans among other things. Enjoy your SAN lll.

I have some serious spring cleaning to do; I will probably need to take off a couple of days to make a dent.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

Hello Ladies - I hope you all are enjoying your new watch purchases (if you made any). Just wanted to check in and say "hello" and say I too fell off the wagon. I had the Shop coupon code and when the once only came up on the Ferragamo, boy did I fall. I hope it is as pretty as it looked. Smaller sized watch, but it looked gorgeous. I also have been eyeing that stupid goldtone apatite watch, but I too sent that one back because of the stones. Hopefully, the price will come way down and I'll probably bite again because I just adore the color of neon apatite. I have a pair of gold earrings with the neon apatite and am eyeing a ring, but the price on the ring is ridiculous and my credit cards are completely out of control. Unfortunately, I don't think an apatite ring is strong enough to withstand daily wear and tear. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for spring! Back to work now for me. Must pay off these credit cards {#emotions_dlg.devil2}

NYCGRL: Nice to hear from you. I saw that Ferragamo watch and it was really lovely. I hope it's everything you want and more. Great price and even better with the coupon. Smile As for the apatite, you are not alone. Several of us are obsessed with those watches. But we have all ordered, and returned them because of the stone quality. I tried twice and didn't keep either one. I have to keep telling myself not to order it again. Even if the stones are good when I get the watch, what will happen when you wear the watch?

Thank you - nice to hear from you. I think I'm kind of obsessed with the apatite watch myself - I ordered it in the 2 tone - returned it. But to be honest in the goldtone and 38mm - OMG - I want that watch BAD, but I'm afraid to order again. I know if it goes down in price a bit, I'll definitely bite "again". Looking forward to the Ferragamo - I can't imagine that one being bad.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

Hi ladies,

NYCGRL - the Ferragamo watches looked really nice I hope you enjoy it when you get it.

I know some of you ladies were disappointed with the apatite watch it is beautiful since I love blue anyway; but for me that kind of watch I would want as perfect as I can get it, but it reminds me of my luck with opals I love them but they don't love me back I tried to purchase them years ago and always a stone was missing even after having it check I could never understand it but it deterred me from buying opals again I admire them in the store though.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

My G/T Ocean Reef on the grey strap came today & it's a keeper. Very nice mop dial & the 40mm size is about as large as I can comfortably handle. Now, to get the warranty registered!

I like the color of that neon blue apatite, but with a stone that fragile, the only way I'd want it is if they sourced really good quality stones & put them under the crystal. If a stone chips or breaks, it's not like you can just replace it on the bezel of a SS watch. If they want to do gemstones on the bezel of a watch, they need to be durable stones, like sapphires, diamonds or maybe topaz that are hard enough to take being knocked around on a watch.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

Hi all... Looks like towards the end of the week we will have more Invicta shows coming up. More later. Smiley Happy

Aub, Hi.

That is a stunning watch; my DJF purchased the tan with gold. Please watch the white bezel. They are hard to keep clean; I put mine away for a year in the watch box and it turned off-white. The cost of the bezel replacement is $60--which I didn't do. (Someone else wrecked theirs with dark denim or ballpoint pen ink.

If the Ocean Reef is still Reserve, do not register the warranty on those. Just keep your receipt.

The shows start on 3/15. (Beware the Ides of March!?) Didn't we just get through a spate of them?

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

NYCgirl: Congrats on the Ferragamo watch. Hope it's all what you want.

Those apatite watches are very pretty. But I know that I am clumsy and I could never get the stones to match if they had to be replaced.

Did you know that there is a shortage of blue topaz again? As in London Blue. It takes a while to turn them that shade of blue. For a while, there seemed to be a lot of it out there. I mean larger stones. I think they would be beautiful on a watch.

Time to crash. My life has been crazy. Hope everyone has a great day. Smiley Happy

Java, the Ocean Reef I got is not the Reserve level one & it has a goldtone metal bezel not a rubber or plastic bezel. I was finally able to get into I's site to register the warranty this evening, after it told me I couldn't log in for 30 minutes because I'd tried over 5 times (no, I didn't!) & I asked them to send me a new password via email & was able to log in. Their site still seems wonky to me.

It's item # 625-634.

No more watches for me for awhile, I just ordered 2 pairs in new colors of Mephisto "Helen" sandals, my favorite comfy summer sandals here in the desert. (used Mr. Rebates) I think I have 8-9 pairs now, but I still wear the oldest ones I have, as well as the newer ones, so I get the wear out of them.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS--MARCH 2014

I love watches, but I wouldn't consider myself a watch collector as I am not very knowledgable. My husband recently bought me Philip Stein Sleep bracelet, which is not a watch at all. But I was looking into buying a Philip Stein after looking into the brand. Does anyone have experience with these watches?
