Hello all..
Time flies It's August.
Welcome to our watch collectors thread.
08-02-2017 08:56 PM
I'm happy to report that I love my new S. Coifman automatic watch in SS. The black mop dial is very vibrant with lots of green and pink hues, even in indoor lighting.
The 33mm size is good. It has a lot of presence on the wrist and the bracelet does not look too narrow at all. The watch has some weight and feels very solid. I have no regrets about the size at all. The watch came factory shrink wrapped.
I bet the GT with the white mop dial and the blue roman # and hands is also a winner. I wonder if it's still on sale?
I wound up the watch and set the time and date. Tomorrow I will check it and also look at the black mop dial in the sunlight.

Thx for the new thread, java.
Lj. I ended up buying the YT @33mm because you are thrilled with your purchase. Today by using their c/c I got 15% off. What a deal. I love that it's an automatic and we shall see about the size. It can always go back. ![]()
If you don't have their cc then it's time you get one. I don't see you stopping buying watches anytime soon. 👼
It's time to pick up that YT now. ![]()

Good Morning Watch Collectors. Watch admirers too.
.
It seems we went through quite a spell of large watches for women. I sure bought more than my share. Lately I've been wearing the 33mm (?) size of the Renato Sapphire collection, every day another color.
And I'm loving the smaller size. Measuring it I get 1.25". In conversion the chart says it's .329mm. This S. Coffman selling at 33mm ought to be a nice size. There was a time I wouldn't consider this size, but there are enablers among us. ![]()
Anyone here fessing up to buying this watch, other than LavJ.?

Jena: you might be right about that cc. I have been resisting, but those extra discounts are weakening my resolve. Congrats on ordering the S. Coifman. I think you will be delighted with it.
Love your Renato watch. I've been wearing some of mine this summer also. The smaller size and lighter weight and thinner strap are welcome in the heat and humidity. And those dials are so beautiful to look at.

I don't believe it. This watch must have been my destiny. Last night I evidentially stumbled into the last minutes of the 15% discount offered to the e card holders. I thought I caught it just as it came online. Well today it's not offered. So heck, with that $34 discount how can I possibly cancel. Now I'm anxious to get it. I'm so into automatics lately, I'm so done with dead batteries. ![]()

Could I please get some feedback (from anyone) on the JBW Womens' Chronograph today 633 208 ?
I've never seen a strap deployment clasp before, and wonder if a jeweler needs to adjust it. I also believe the face is MOP, but don't see it noted anywhere.
I'm still hunting for my first chronograph watch, and this one caught my eye ... your opinion?

Tinkrbl: The watch is very pretty. The face looks like mop to me also. The diamonds around the bezel are placed in strategic locations, the rest of the bezel just has a textured element. This is not unusual, but I just wanted to be sure you were aware of it. I prefer diamonds on a bezel to crystals, because the diamonds are prong set and won't discolor the way crystals sometimes do especially if they are glued into place.
The deployant clasp on the strap is very easy to adjust and used on many better strap watches. You just pull up on the tab from the underside and move the prong to the correct hole position. Then press the tab back into place.
I did notice the strap length is only 7.5 inches. This is relatively short. Usually you lose an inch from the overall length. They usually list overall length on that site. So you need to think about if the watch strap is long enough for you.
I'll get back to you on other specs.

Tinkrbl: other things to note:
- like most chrographs the large 'second hand' is not the regular second hand, it's the chronograph hand. The regular (or perpetual) second hand is in the subdial at 6 o'clock.
- the movement is Japanese, which is okay. No info on what the movement is.
- the water resistance level is okay. But this watch is not intended to be submerged in water. Don't wear it when you are washing dishes, etc. An occasional splash or rain storm shouldn't be a problem.
- Case is stainless steel which is good.
- I'm not familar with the brand, so I can't provide any insight there.
If you have any other specific questions, ask and I'll try to reply.
