This morning I stood in line at the post office to mail two things back to ShopNBC using the pre-paid return label. I used the label instead of paying for it up front because the pre-paid label would actually be cheaper this particular time.

Anyway, I handed the lady my package and she put it on the desk behind her and said thank you. I said I would like the receipt to show I gave it to the post office and she cut me off and said they no longer scan the labels. I asked why and she said they no longer scan the labels. She was not nice about it. I could not change my mind and pay for the shipping myself, ensuring I got a receipt, since I had already handed her the package. So now I have nothing to prove I have returned the items and I guess will never have proof in the future if using the pre-paid return label. So be forewarned if you use it for a return. I would guess their new policy of not scanning labels would also include QVC, HSN or any of the shopping channels that offer a pre-paid return.
