On one woman a ring could be very flattering .... and look all wrong on someone else. That could affect how one views the piece, as well.

Holding her up for public ridicule like this because she has a different opinion is inexcusable.
OMG! Are you kidding me?!
I owe no one an apology!!! I have the right to my opinion to!! I never held her up to any public ridicule, but you are definitely trying to put me in my place, as if you have the right to do so!
You are inexcusable with your high and mighty attitude!

I'm sorry if I made you feel that way because I really don't care what your place is, let alone want to put you in one. My only concern was for the poor woman who might be hurt if she sees your thread.
You firstly implied that she was stupid to buy something that wasn't in her usual style so no wonder she didn't like it, silly woman, and secondly that her opinion wasn't to be trusted as it was 'unbelievable'.
Actually, I don't think you even realized that's what you were saying about her and didn't mean to be unkind.

Clearly, to comment in any negative way on a JR piece is akin to blasphemy.

I never implied or said that the "reviewer", was stupid. I simply stated that she has a different taste in jewelry. My implication was, she likes different styles that is possibly why she gave a 1 star review...In other words Ripka is not her style.
I never said she was silly or stupid and I would appreciate that you stop trying to manipulate what I have said! A difference in taste is all. That is why I posted on the Ripka forum so people who like JR jewelry can understand where I was coming from.....so they wouldn't be deterred from buying the ring.
I hope they put a Carolyn Pollack forum up for you soon......so you girls can have a forum of your own!
I will not post here again. I said my piece. Everyone is on Ignore now!

Me2Me...I strongly recommend the "Ignore User" button. I use it often and it makes for a much better experience. Your original post had question marks and not exclamation marks. The implication being that you are questioning the validity of the review given your first hand experience. You weren't stating anything but. If you had used exclamation marks, making a declarative statement, then maybe it would be different. You were simply asking a question about the review given the facts that you knew. As you have so aptly pointed out, people are allowed to disagree on their reviews...you just wanted to make sure your voice had been heard. Nothing wrong with that in my mind.

Wow Violann, thank you so much. What a wonderful compliment. That was very nice of you to say. I don't always feel like I express myself so well. Lol!!

Honestly, what is this .... kindergarten?
No one is trying to "put you in your place" --- where ever THAT is --- but when you pretty much state someone else doesn't know what she's talking about, and even start a new thread to tell everyone, what kind of responses did you expect to get?

Agreed. The OP sounds like a whiny 4 year old who feels completely justified (in her mind) in stomping her feet in anger and throw a VERY PUBLIC temper tantrum because someone had the nerve NOT to like a ring that she is obsessed with AND that person 'dared' to write a 1 star review. The horrors!!! (I'm being sarcastic)
OP - get over yourself and GROW UP!
HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of products out there are probably loved and hated at the same time by people because - guess what? The world is DIFFERENT and we all have DIFFERENT likes/dislikes and opinions! Imagine that!! Do you seriously think that someone who loves something is going to be deterred on buying something because someone else hates it? Seriously?
And really, what's your point in starting this thread OTHER than to publically ridicule someone who dared have a different opinion other than yourself? I'm not going to bother to wait for your response btw! Anyone with common sense and who is a LOGICALLY thinking ADULT can figure it out!

I agree. That's why multiple reviews are posted. I find it a bit presumptuous to tout your opinion as more valid than anothers simply because they feel differently than did you. I don't own this ring and while I'm glad you enjoy yours, looking at it, I don't want to. To me, it's just another piece Ripka has festooned with too many fake diamonds so QVC could over-price it.
