Just got a Dawkins turquoise cuff and one of the turq stones has a big white spot (of course, it is a returned item{#emotions_dlg.mad}). Is the white spot a chip or a flaw?

Probably just from the stabilization, but I don't like white spots either. I'm sure they're not all like that . . if you are going to exchange.

Maybe do an exchange and hope for one you like better?

I am soooo tired of exchanging jewelry items! I just received 5 pieces of jewelry and only 1 of them was not a return. It was a brand new Ripka piece just presented or I'm sure it would have also been a return. I love this Dawkins cuff, so yes, I will try for an exchange. I even have trouble getting them to exchange versus process a return for me! I clearly have marked "exchange" and it is just treated as a return even when the item is in stock. Sometimes I wonder!

The white spot could be matrix (host rock). Matrix is usually black or various browns, but occasionally it's quartz.

Decide if it bothers you, I suppose?
