What about the unkind word to discribe the cross pendant on the pearl cross necklace?

No matter what the design is, a cross should not be described as kind of funky!!!!!!!!!

A cross can be a religious symbol or it can be a decorative costume jewelry piece.  It doesn't mean the same thing to each wearer, in which case "funky" is a perfectly acceptable word to describe it.

Offended at the word "funky"?!  Wow! (shaking my head)  I like funky things and find it to be a positive thing.

"Funky" is a rather unusual way to describe what most people think of as a religious symbol.

The word funky does not offened me most times.  It just bothered me that the host is always talking about her religion and the Christian symbols in her day to day jewery pieces and all of a sudden calls a cross funky.  I just don't think calling a cross funky when it is described and is a religous symbol.  A religous symbol is not funky!!!!!!!

I hate the word "funky." Period. I don't know why, but if anything is described as funky, I won't buy it. That's shampoo, dress, food, anything. Maybe its sounds like punky, as in a rotten pumpkin.
