Unless something unexpected happens, nothing is being returned. This was an extraordinary amount of treasures in one visit, which happened last year too at the anniversary shows. I may end up in the Bad Girls's Home, but I'll be looking fabulous!
Celedon Quartz ring - This was a last minute addition and I fully blame Sammycat for its inclusion; her enthusiasm pushed me over the edge. It is a gorgeous ring. Big and bold in the size of the stone, but feels smaller on the hand. Everything else about the ring is refined elegance. It looks like something that was left to you in a will. The cut outs around the sides of the ring are reminiscent of the Art Deco period. There is a small amount of DMQ along the side of the ring, unnoticeable until you move your hand and see it twinkle. The star is the stone, but all the design elements beautifully support the stone. It is a quiet ring with a lot of presence. Three loves!
Rolling necklace, GC, 18" - I first saw this beauty at our autumn luncheon in NYC and I loved it, but I have resisted its siren call, until now. I got the bracelet in silver when first presented and wear it almost everyday as DBGD loves to play with it on my wrist. This was an impulse buy and I am so glad I did; I've worn it almost every day since its arrival. Although the total carat weight of DMQ is a lot, it does not appear so being worn because all the stones are not visible at once. It lays perfectly on the neck and gives a nice twinkle when is moves. Design is impeccable and the execution the same. I think this will be worn more frequently that I ever imagined. Three loves!
DMQ tennis bracelet - Yes, I know already. I am the one who constantly says she doesn't really care for DMQ. And really, that is true. But again, something just spoke to me about this beauty and so it is now home with me. I don't know how Miss Judie does it, but the DMQ appear to be much more subtle when on the wrist, thankfully, it is not the least gaudy. The usual Ripka touches are all over this bracelet, with carvings galore. The different shapes in yellow DMQ add to the interest and excitement of this baby. I've paired it with YG and with the GQ heart bracelet which Miss Judie gave me a shout out a while ago; it plays nicely. Three loves!
White agate ring - Lovely ring, with just enough DMQ to add twinkle. All the usual textures done so elegantly. Three loves!
TSV bracelet in both YG & silver - I was on the fence about purchasing this for some time. Don't really know what my hesitation was, but it was there anyway. Oh my gosh, what great pieces. Funky and elegant at the same time! I also really like the closing mechanism. The total look is executed so well and is not overdone. It is very comfortable to wear. With my 6" wrist, once I decided I wanted it, I couldn't figure out what size, because I didn't want it to flip. I got the 7 !/4 because I was afraid that the small would annoy my wrist. This was a good choice for me as it allows movement but not a whole lot of flipping, especially when wore with other items. It is really a great bracelet. Three loves!
London Blue Truffle Suite - OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised that everyone did not hear me scream as I opened the boxes. Although not enough of a superlative, this is magnificent! It is such a unique way to present LBT and it is done with impeccable taste. I really don't know where to begin, as there are so many design elements. But I suppose the one thing with pulls it all together is the positioning the the gems on this unique sphere/ball. It allows the gems to gather in so much light that they seems electrified from within. Of course, the unique Ripka style lends itself to supporting the stones with various carvings and textures. The pierced earrings are a great weight for my ears and the movement of the spheres is hardly noticeable. The necklace has links in the back so you can play with the length you wish. I've tried the enhancer on the green adventurine necklace and a pearl necklace and it works well. I don't know if I'd use it on this necklace, however; it might be overkill. This suite is a wow in every sense of the word, and then more. A zillion loves!
The emerald Pia is on WL.
