Last July the CPAA Pearls as One  course was unveiled in Los Angeles at the Annual Pearl Guide Ruckus.   

The course was created for the pearl industry. Jewelers could use it to train employees about all aspects of the pearls they sell.  From the early beginnings of the culturing process in the late 1800's to current day cultured pearl farming.  The course also teaches what qualities to look for in fine pearls and how to sell them to customers.

The class costs $599.00 but fortunately the CPAA decided it was better give this wealth of information away to people who wanted to learn about this gem for free, and you can sign up and take the course with a complimentary code.  After completion you can print out your diploma.

Thousands have taken the course and now it's being expanded to different languages.  French came out yesterday.

I took the course and thoroughly enjoyed it .  I learned a lot and the videos and historic photos were absolutely wonderful.

Thank you so much for the information. I love pearls and think that you can never go wrong with pearls and diamonds. Like them in white gold, although if they are golden I do not mind yellow.

Update on the CPAA course.   It is now in multiple languages.  English, Spanish, Russian, German, Chinese, French.   More languages are on the way.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  They say it's even more comprehensive and up to date than the GIA pearl course.
