Why are there no decent pictures of the original Coco Chanel Paperclip Necklace? I can't find any online. Only that really blurry picture of Jacqueline Kennedy wearing it.

There are loads of pictures of the Camrose and Cross replica but I'd like to see a picture of one of the originals.

I'm not sure the Camrose and Cross version is an exact replica.

I think they have standards when producing this line so everything has to be pretty much exact. I have been watching the paperclip necklace and may get it if it goes on clearance. I just received the engagement bracelet and it is stunning! Two days after I bought it it went on a clearance price and I was able to get QVC to give me the lower price.

Because there were so few of the originals made, and they were sold in Europe. I think PK said once, maybe only about 25 total? It's a very old necklace.

Well Philip always says that they make casts of the original so it has to be an exact replica. He did say there is one other version that's a little bit different? And C&K made that one to be displayed in a museum.

Given the time it was made, the quantity produced wouldn't have been great. Also, I think a lot of them have just disappeared through the years. Unless it was clearly marked, and someone DID know what it was, would it have that much value? Would a son care about his mother's fashion jewelry that's not even in great condition?
