I once had a ring in this in gold and it was so pretty I wore it every day. I believed them when they said the coating was good for a good long while. I was so shocked that after about 3 months the base metal showed through. I called them and they refunded my money without even asking for the item back which leads me to believe that wasn't the first time they had that complaint.

That was many years ago so I'm hoping they have improved the process since then. Has anyone had the gold plating rub off on this jewelry? I know rings get the most wear, but it should have lasted longer than 3 months.

Is the Vicenza gold a similar process? Which do you think holds up better?
