Is anyone familiar with this line? They are having a show at a jewelry store this weekend and I am curious as to the quality. I did some research and discovered they are sold on HSN. Comments?

Keep in mind, the items at the jewelry show will probably be better quality than what they sell on HSN. I'd go! Trunk shows are educational. I remember going to a Michael Dawkins trunk show, years ago ... very different from the QVC offerings.

I don't watch these channels much any longer but did record a recent show to see the styles and quality of the merchandise. I would also advise you to go. The merchandise probably will be better quality than the channel will allow them to sell on the air.

I know that you are both experts on pearls. And, no, ennui, I know this because I am not new here. But I must say, I catch the irony. Good one! Anyway, I got a call from the woman I deal with at the jewelry store commenting on this show they were having and stating how wonderful the products were. Since I know you both are experts in pearls, I value your opinion. I did not want to co opt the pearl thread, so, I started this one. I am not looking for anything in particular, I just love pearls. As a matter of fact, I am babysitting my grandchildren right know (4 and 2) and am wearing my pearls. The girls love them. The 4 year old calls them white balls. Fortunately they are occupied climbing on "Pops"

Deanie, It will be fun and try on different shapes and sizes so you can see what looks good on you. If you are looking for golden south sea pearls , you want golden, NOT yellow. The darker they are the more they are worth. By the way, you are always welcome on our thread, please join us there and chat... Please write a review of your trunk show experience.

They have a really nice website -- tarapearls.com -- I love that Tahitian necklace on the homepage, with the cascading drops. If you click on "Discover Tara," there's a 10-minute video. It opens with footage of my beloved ships.

They have some really nice things. I had no idea. Now I wish I could see the trunk show!

ETA, well maybe the website isn't all that great -- some of the pages are empty.
