Gorgeous AAA and AAAA tanzis on JTV and on Shop LC, dark blue color saturated. some tanzis look like glass, no color.

Color change blue fluorite is another good option as a substitute for Tanzanite.

The Mohs hardness of tanzanite is only 6 to 7

The fluorite ring is from ShopLC dot com.

Fluorite is a very soft stone and I like that each of the points on the trilliant are protected. Makes it more durable to wear as a ring but I would have preferred a full bezel setting for that kind of soft stone.

I coud never afford a AAA tanzanite stone---I do like that stone. I actually have a 3 stone ring from Colleen that does have the blueberry color  tanzies in it and I paid right around $60 for it ,a few years ago--the stones are 5x3's. I bought 2 of them. But I also  have alot of iolite too --and those also have that deep color blue as well.Think I got the iolites from QVC back in the day--all are set in sterling silver

I remember when Colleen and Suzanne Sommers use to do the jewelry show with those big stones faux of course but she called the honkers I think......LOL.  I didn't buy but I enjoyed watching them two,
