What is this Moissanite?  I used to see it on ShopNBC.

A hairstylist at my salon is engaged to be married and her future husband gave her the option and took her to the jewelry store to make a comparison between a real which was not chock full of nuts but it did not have that clean pristine shine.

Both were within the same sort of price range, and guess what?

She chose the moissanite man made over the real deal.  I agreed on her choice.  It is the first time I've seen man made diamonds in person.  Very pretty!

@Pink123

It's not Moissanite. It's lab-grown diamonds. Both are man-made but have a different chemical makeup.

@rockygems123   Of course I remember...tacori w/ Diamonique. I still have a pr. of stud earrings with beautiful scrooll work at the base of the stone with tiny Diamonique stones paved throughout. Gorgeous and love wearing them.

My goodness, I remember the Tacori line brought to the Q.
The Tacorui rep has NOT aged very well.

Your right @SilleeMee  it might not be but these, are just what they are"fakes".  Diamonds are diamonds.  I'm not that interested in lab's or rea for that matter. It would have to be a real  diamond not chock full of nuts to excite me and that will never happen. lol!

I love the Tacori Diamonique pieces that I  bought years ago.  I still wear them and they still look beautiful!  Not sure I will buy the new line because prices are too high for me but I do love the Tacori brand!

I'm a bit disappointed in the offerings last night. Lab Grown should have brought the prices down, but being gold made the items expensive too. I wouldn't have minded Diamonique and platinum clad like my earrings.

I think they're done on diamonique. Lab grown prices are on the move because demand is high (and the gold, as you mentioned, is an issue).

I read that the yield in lab diamond rough varies anywhere from 5% to 60% which isn't that great so their production can be costly. Add to that the market demand and a lab diamond is downright expensive right now.

   Watched the re-run  of the show with Rick as Host.

 Were only 3 VP offered ?  Mr Tacori said the color & clarity  of the man made  diamonds were F VS1, but the written descriptions on QVC Internet do not address  the color nor clarity at all .  Liked the modern designs in 14K gold  with a bit of vintage  appeal in the bezel settings.
