Hi. I am going to a wedding in mid May,I have bought a dark navy dress ,sheath type with a short jacket , mandarin collar , open front , no buttons , and short sleeves. I am not crazy about the dress but I really had a difficult time finding something , I am in my early sixties and I usually wear a 1x. My husband says the dress is fine but it needs something to brighten it up , I had tried it on with navy heels and sheer navy hose.. he feels its too dark.. so I thought if I wore nude hose and white shoes or cream sheer hose with cream heels.. ?? to brighten it up.. I dont know if a pin would wake this dress up , I think with a neckace it would have to be heavier or layers of beads.. any ideas on coloring or what I can do ? I am not too good at this, and I would love to look nice.. the wedding is on a Sunday morning , 11am with a reception until 3 or 330.. are there any fashion minded people out there willing to help me .. thanks in advance.. for any suggestions..
