I have purchased many pieces of Carolyn Pollack jewelry in the past that all were delivered via the USPS.  I ordered one ring this past week and it is on the UPS truck for delivery today.  ?????  Just wondering why this one little piece is being delivered via UPS.  And it's not UPS via USPS, it is out for delivery via UPS Ground.  Just weird.  No complaints, just thought it was a little strange.

It's my understanding that with Surepost, UPS has the option to either take the item to your local PO for delivery by them, or they can put it on their own truck for delivery.  The UPS hub is not that far from me, so I get items delivered both ways.  I think it depends on if they have other items to deliver in your neighborhood.

I can always tell which it was because USPS delivers to my front door (by the mailbox), and UPS delivers to the back door, which is more accessible from my street (I live in a condo).

yeah, it's what ever is more convenient for them. If your getting a couple of packages they will go ahead and bring out to you.

I don't get UPS till after 5 and around 8 p.m. at Xmas time.

Whereas, Fedex comes to my area by 9a.m.

Mail is around noon so it's faster for me by USPS then UPS LOL

Strange shipping...lol    I thought she was going to say it was delivered by dog sled...lol

I recently got a Tarte blush in a small compact.  These are usually sent in a padded envelope in the mail.  Mine was shipped UPS in a shoebox size box.  

They do this just to keep you off balance so you won't think you know the method to their madness.
