For all of the silver jewelry makers on here, I would like to see a solid sterling silver ID that snaps in like the old style with a wide ID. Similar to the one that the little blue box has.

Thanks

Re: Sterling Silver ID bracelet

@Junker2327 that iconic Venetian ID bracelet is gorgeous.  I agree with your request.  Since we are talking the Blue Box store....I'd also like to see their classic solitaire round ering  with a 1.5 - 2 carat stone (top grade moissonite) ring.  I've studied that ring for years.  I don't covet jewelry....but that ring is a classic.

Re: Sterling Silver ID bracelet

@Junker2327 - I went to the website for that little blue box store and was shocked at the prices for their silver jewelry.  A very bold looking silver snake necklace for $12,000 that has no gold, or platinum, or even precious gemstones in it. Just silver. Seeing all of their silver pieces made me appreciate the silver pieces I already own and wear.

Right now, I am wearing a heavy duty silver RLM fringe necklace.  Here's an image of it. From Robert Lee Morris' heavyweight silver days....

Re: Sterling Silver ID bracelet

@Sammycat1 - I will remember those days of amazing silver designers using great amounts of silver in their designs with fondness. Right now, there seem to be way fewer silver jewelry designers making pieces with lots of--- silver. Not that gram weight is everything, and there is certainly a case to be made for not using too much heavy silver in a piece, but when so very much less silver is suddenly used in a necklace, or a ring, or bracelet, it does become rather noticeable and noteworthy.

I also started to truly appreciate my old Judith Ripka Grand Statement Necklace (with graduated size, rectangular, silver links) paired with a relatively new, square-necked long sleeved top from Susan Graver.  What a great combination! How I miss those days when silver necklaces had impressive designs that did not skimp at all on the silver, back in the days when jewelry designers were not in any way hampered by gram weight due to the lower price of silver.

I couldn't find an online image of the necklace, but here is the matching bracelet:

@Jersey Born  I remember exactly these pieces, including the one you pictured. I find myself periodically checking other sites for the pieces I let get away.

I'm glad I purchased what I did during this silver "heyday," including pieces designed by in-house Q designers from the early days. When I pull them out of my jewelry box, their weight and construction and lines bring me back....sigh.

@Junker2327

Would you have your name or initials engraved on it?  (I was never a fan of anything with names or initials on it .... I already know my name, lol.)

Just wondered what you would put on the ID area.

Re: Sterling Silver ID bracelet

@Junker2327   A lot of that is the name, not so much the actaual silver.  I doubt it's over 100 grams.  It has to be comfortable to wear.  Also inflation.  The same thing in 18K would $36,000 instead of $12,000.  $12,000 is a lot to tarnish....

Re: Sterling Silver ID bracelet

RLM used to make a great looking ID bracelet.  I always regret not buying it at the time.
