I splurged and bought the drusy Vicence watch, J264394, in blue at a clearance price. I wore it for several weeks. The last time I wore it, I took it off at the end of the day and put it on a small table in my dining room. The next day when I picked it up, the crystal had shattered. I didn't hit the watch or do anything to cause this. There are not more blue watches available, and I really, really love it.

The strange thing is that this is the third Vicence watch that I have tried in the past year that has had something happen to the crystal. The first watch that I bought had a very large face. I was teaching my class about a week after purchasing, and the crystal fell to the floor and broke. I thought it was a fluke and ordered another style (also with a large face.) The crystal broke on this one right away also. After that, I had a feeling that something was going on with the crystals from this company. This blue one didn't give me difficulty right away, so I thought I was home free.

I guess I should just give up on this brand. I have a couple of Vicence watches that are probably 10 years old. I have had no trouble from them. I also bought one from ebay, and it is also still ticking away. I guess to save money the company decided to purchase cheap crystals.

Do any of you know how expensive a watch crystal would be? I really hate to send this lovely watch back to QVC because I love it so. It is just so so expensive to be defective.
