Small steps in the moving process....

Hi everyone. I know that I haven't been here as often as I like, but the move has been taking up any 'spare' time that I usually have to play in the Ripka forum.

It looks like we will be closing some time in mid-April and DH will have to be down there full-time in about five weeks.

I cleaned out my attic last Thursday and found all of my empty jewelry boxes. Today I will take everything out of my jewelry armoirs and re-pack my lovlies into their original little black velvet boxes (or green Ripka boxes), pack them in a couple of cardboard boxes and kiss them goodbye until I open them again in Nashville. Yes, of course, they will be traveling by car with me.

The other big job this weekend was pre-packing all of my better handbags (placing each of them in their dustbag and placing them in a large cardboard box that DH brought from work). Acutally, I asked him to bring me another box today as I can't put all of them in the one box. My plan is to send them with the movers, but I wanted them pre-packed. I will ask the packers to place my box in one of their wardrobe boxes. Is this a good plan? Any thoughts? Yes, I will be worried about them as they are all quite expensive, but I just won't have room to take them by car. I just don't see any other way to do it.

I have been making lots of trips to our local 'once again' shop to drop off donations, but I still can't see the clearing through the forrest! LOL! Yes, you certainly do collect/keep a lot of unnecessary things over the years. I admire folks who purge every season, and I certainly will try to do a better job of this in the future.

Well, I just wanted to update all of you and let you know that I am thinking of you. I have stopped in and written a random post here and there, but not like I usually do. I am trying to keep up with each of you via your posts, so I know everyone is looking forward (as am I) to Judith's upcoming visit.

Love to all, Benz {#emotions_dlg.wub}
