Does anyone know if single pearls can still be bought?  My grandmother started  a pearl necklace for me many years ago and I would like to complete it.  Each year she would add a pearl to the necklace for my birthday or Christmas.  She has long ago passed away but I still have the necklace with about 10 pearls on it.

Single pearls can be purchased at many jewelry stores. I started a necklace for my granddaughter four years ago.  Different size pearls can be purchased and you will have a choice of metals for the necklace.

my jeweler will string the pearls free if five pearls have been purchased.

i live north of Boston and I use Long's Jewelry

I would do this through a jeweler, not online.  There are many different shades of pearls and I'm sure you want a.perfect match!
