ShopLC has been making some serious statements regarding people's medical claims about this stone, Shungite. They are saying things like prevents cancer, stops migraines and headaches, and some more stuff about biological things it can do at the cellular level. How can they say that stuff on air? I hope they have a good legal team.

The LC sales spiel probably comes straight from the Internet which is rife with the same claims.

Just googles it on LC. The claims it is making are from hundreds of years ago. You need to do a little or a lot of research.

It's another jewelry shopping network. They have a website, shoplc dot com, and also a TV channel. @coffee drinker

It's really awful but they've been making those medical claims about Shungite for a couple of years. If anything, the claims have gotten crazier. They probably save themselves with the qualifiers like "research shows" and "scientis say". They are also selling a Shungite book.

I just wanted to chime in @SilleeMee to say that I am laughing right now. Not at anything written in this thread.
When I read the word shungite in the title I thought whoa that sounds like something requiring antibiotiics. When I opened the thread and saw that a company is promoting this stone for it's healing properties I started laughing.

I remember one day they were selling shungite cut in the shape of a pyramid. The host was saying how shungite is used for energy clearing or something like that and that it needs to be charged periodically by sitting it outside in the moonlight. No joke, it was Cheryl who was saying this.

I've watched a little bit when they've had Shungite shows. They're not saying this tone is going to cure any medical condition. There's a lot of folklore on many stones. I know a few people who hold stones when they meditate or have them close when they do yoga. Some people also wear certain stones because of the lore behind them.
I do think it's going a little over board to tell people they should put their Shungite stones out during a full moon, half moon, or eclipse to give it more energy. I guess this is what Dan read on the internet.

strange that they claim such things on air.
