A while back, I was in need "something" for the top I was wearing .... like a really small pin. Looking through my box of miscellaneous stuff, I found my father's shirt studs and tie studs .... perfect - but I needed something not so masculine.
I tried Amazon since I had found some really pretty sweater clips there recently ... and lucked out.
They are called "Women Shirt Brooch Buttons..... Cover Up Buttons Pin for Women." A package of 20 pieces for $7.62 inc./tax! They are imported and I expected them to take a while to get here .... and they arrived today! Sooooo cute!
Going to try them on jackets and hats!

@ALRATIBA Kind of hard to imagine those little things not hetting lost on a jacket. When you get one decked out, snap a photo for us. I've always loved to put a pin on a lapel and have quite a collection. I guess that's "out" now.

@ALRATIBA Would love to see the final product....glad you are happy with your new find. They kind of remind me of the button covers that were originally sold with Quacker Factory products in the early days.

A couple of studs on the collar of a jean jacket look pretty good.
I have a "diamond" crown pin on the flap of the chest pocket of my white denm jacket.
Being "in or out" isn't even on my radar.

@Kachina624 : Just triple your pins up on the shoulder of a denim jacket!

A number of years ago... I felt similar to you. I frequently wore blouses and like you wanted to jazz them up. At that time Kirks Folly sold 'tie tack' like pins. Bigger than a stud earring but much smaller than their typical brooch. I bought half a dozen of the STARS and wore them on the buttons of my blouse. Everybody who saw them were impressed. I got so many compliments, including from Jennifer Kirk herself when I went to an event she had at a department store back East. Love the clever idea you came up with, as well, to decorate your shirts. I think this is an accessory item women would flock too. Give them a catchy name??? Are you listening QVC???

OMG-- a flash from the past for me--I have a bunch of button covers, as they were called then, that I wore all the time when going out and about---was a helper at my kids grade shcool so wore them then, as the kids loved the different ones i had--still have them in fact.

@Kachina624 I don't know if wearing pins/brooches is out or not but then again, I'm not a "fashionista" by any stretch.
I have a lot of pins that I've collected over the years. Some were gifts from my grandmother and mother, others I bought for myself. I wear them on jackets, my coats and even on hats. I just keep having fun with my collection.

@ALRATIBA those are very fun. I'm interested in the sweater clips you mentioned. One of the things that bugs me is when sweaters flop open if they don't have a button to fasten them so I'm off to look for those!
Love your ideas about using the pins. As you can see in my post below, I have a collection of pins. Some are critters, some are holiday related (since it's October - all of my Halloween and fall pins have come to the top of the drawer) and some are just fun ones that I really liked. Now it just has to get cool enough her (since the hot and humid weather came back) for me to wear a jacket or a hat!
