Shipping Problem

I purchased the peridot ring and was tracking it online so that I would be home to sign for the package. it was coming by US Mail. Well as of this morning it wasn't anywhere near where I live. It was still in Secuacus NJ. So I went out this AM. Guess what happened when I returned at 1PM? The tracking now said it was in my local Post Office and delivered at 11AM. How could that be? There was no telltale slip on the door. Believe me I searched high and low for it. I called the PO. They gave me another number to call. I got a busy signal many times. Finally I got a person. I gave him the long tracking number. He said it was delivered. He took my number and said he would 'investigate". This teaches me to NEVER order such an expensive item. It was my first time - and my last!
