Yesterday, I gave a Dew Drop Bracelet to each of my future DILs. I was able to do it privately to each one. Lots of hugs and happy tears were shared. Both were excited to receive the bracelet.

My future DIL whose wedding is in June stopped by with my son and showed me her headpiece that she found on Etsy. We played in my jewelry box, trying on many different pieces of Ripka to see what looked great with her headpiece. J138297 looked the best so far. She will try it on with her gown next month. I then said let's look at bracelets next. I put the dew drop bracelet on her wrist and she told me she loves "my bracelet" and I told her, "Sweetheart, this is your bracelet." Tears, expression of love and hugs followed. She is a very happy bride.

A couple of hours later, my newly engaged future DIL stopped by with my other son. Again, I congratulated them and then took her aside and told he that I have something for her. I handed her the Ripka green box. She opened it and exclaimed, "You got me one!" I hugged her and told her that I loved her and that we all have matching bracelets, a kind of mother and daughters connection. She started crying and shared again how she misses her mom. (Her mom passed away in Jan. 2011 with colon cancer. Her mom never met my son.) I told her that no matter what, I will be there for her.

It was an emotional Sunday and I think my future DILs and I bonded more closely with the help of Ripka
