It could be there was a lot of focus on it because there was a lot of speculation about why she wasn't wearing her ring.

I thought the same thing too.  She was going on and on about how Courtney had designed her diamonique ring about the same time that she was getting her new one and shockingly they were almost the same.  It was like she would not let Courtney have her moment discussing her ring.  So me, me.  She seems VERY high maintenance.

Why would anyone change an engagement ring? THe original wasn't good enough? She has only been married for a short time.

I've changed mine numerous times, and it had nothing to do with the ring not being good enough.  Just wanted a change.

While many here are very attached to their original rings/settings for sentimental reasons, others don't feel particularly sentimental about "things."  We all have differen views.

what i don't understand is shawns original ring is a cushion cut, her halo was a round, anyone notice?

I think the halo stones made it appear rounder.
