I think we get more than enough crummy pearls from Honora. That's their specialty.

The two pieces I saw on facebook of Ross-Simons that were going to be presented that day were old lady looking and not that good. I hope they have a better variety. Will watch first show IF or WHEN they have one.

I remember this line from a few years ago and remember they used great gems & perfect pearls etc. I'm sorry to see with the 2 items showing up online so far, they are using those crummy pearls. What a marketing coup ... getting everyone to belive those sloppy pearls are "chic".

Are you one of those "plain white round pearl" people? How sad.

Why is it sad? I guess you like them? These pearls are often the the least expensive of all categories of pearls. Some consider them unique and beautiful, I do not. Just a matter of taste and nothing to be sad overSmiley Wink

Exactly Debbie. I completely agree with all you said.

I'm conflicted. I've purchased quite a few pieces from their web site over the years and my husband has bought pieces as gifts for me. About a year ago I placed an order for earrings I planned to give as a gift. When it seemed they were awfully slow to arrive I checked on my order I saw it had been cancelled. I called customer service to ask about it. After going through several people who couldn't give me an answer, I asked for a supervisor. This woman got on the phone and angrily told me I had "declared fraud on them!" I had no idea what she was talking about. She told me that about 7 months prior to our conversation I had declared a purchase with them fraudulent so they removing my registration and my business was no longer welcome there. I asked (1) exactly what purchase she was referring to, (2) if they felt I owed them money, why they hadn't sent me a bill and (3) why it took 7 months for this issue to come up? I pointed out that I'd made several purchases in the interim with no problems so why was this matter not handled before? She looked at my account and agreed that I had made a number of purchases in the interim with no problems, but there would be no further purchases to be allowed. She couldn't tell me what the disputed order was, exactly when it was or what it was for because the girl who handles that was at lunch but she could tell me in about an hour. I said I'd call back so the matter could be settled because it was not my way to defraud anyone EVER. Meanwhile, I went back over my orders with them for 12 months prior and looked at my charge statements and couldn't find any order that was not paid by my bank. Armed with this information, I called back in an hour and was told that the supervisor had left for the day and no one else could help me. I called back the next day and was told this supervisor was not available to talk to me. I was beyond livid! No previous communication from RS, no bill, no notice to me, just rude, accusatory statements from this woman over what I am sure is some kind of mistake. I don't particularly like being called a deadbeat without a solid basis. I was so angry, I decided not to keep trying. I did as I was told and took my business elsewhere. This was never the kind of treatment I'd ever received before from RS or any other business. I'd never returned anything and had been very happy with pieces I'd bought and the few times I ever called customer service I'd always gotten friendly, pleasant service. So. . . I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy from them on Q, either. I'm angry and hurt. And I've still not had any communication regarding the matter.
