Atlanta Ripkanista luncheons rock! So did the Ripka Romp in NYC in 2008. Wonderful bonds formed and new ones continue to be created. As a lurker since 2007, poster since 2008, I've witnessed many comings and goings, MomOH4's famous dog thread, JR tent home in Tennessee thread. New JR boards started on Yahoo and Delphi. Squabbles in 2008 and 2009; tiffs in 2010 and 2011. Any differences between then and now? Well, I'm guessing all of our lives were more lighthearted when Judith Ripka designs were affordable for ALL and quality was assured (before the 2008 worldwide financial crash).

The Q Judith Ripka Board reflects the times and no group of Ripkanistas is superior to others. The JR Board is for everyone. After a couple of years of rapidly increasing prices, decreasing service/quality, many Ripkanistas tried to get satisfaction from the Q. Kap started a Buycott as a result and received an unsatisfactory response from the Q. Waterbaby suggested emailing Brian Ripka. So, I did, as have many other Ripkanistas. And Brian Ripka is admirably stepping up to the plate as is the Ripka organization, all working hard to solve the formerly unsolvable. The Q Ripka line is a main source of support (important to the Q as well) and not in jeopardy. Issues are being addressed.

It is a new day. Passover and Easter have been celebrated. This board is for everybody and no one is above anyone else. All respectful posts are welcome. Passive-aggressive innuendo and picking on other posters who express varying opinions is not. If a thread subject doesn't speak to a Ripkanista, another can be found which does...

If there is a conflict, please solve it off the board and make an effort to communicate. And if anyone suggests behind the scenes that there's a plot against a particular group or that "someone is taking over the JR board," please consider whether that person(s) has an agenda to cause dissension for their own gain. Please don't fall for those who encourage infighting. No need to "tell someone off" and create drama.

Let's respect differing opinions, threads and other Ripkanistas. As the great Eckhart Tolle is quoted on Ty77's posts: "The need to be right is a form of violence."

We don't have to agree with each other, but we can practice tolerance and support the right of each Ripkanista to respectfully share their opinions. Thanks for reading. Sincerely meant ~Peach
