Hello - Several years ago I purchased many many Ripka pieces. Last winter on a snowy, cold day I decided to clean some jewelry pieces. I used a jewelry cleaner, did lots of gold, silver, costume, and just a lot of miscellaneous pieces that all cleaned beautifully. However, when I started to clean some Ripka pieces they came out with the evidently silver coating gone, and now I have some expensive Ripka chains that are not able to be worn, just a disgusting colored metal. If they are in fact sterling silver, which is what I paid for, why did the "coating" come off while cleaning. What am I supposed to do with this jewelry now? Instead of a bright, pretty sterling color, they are discolored and unwearable. I don't understand this as I cleaned many other pieces and they turned out great! Any suggestions?
