Ripka black rhodium.....

Do you like it? I have not seen it in person but on the air it is fascinating. Is it jet black or a charcoal grey/black? Has it worn well for you?

Black rhodium plating usually looks like gunmetal.

Someone posted in another topic that black rhodium plating is used to make inferior gemstones look better.

I own several of JRs pieces with black rhodium plating...and I must say that it is striking. I wouldn't say it is gunmetal in shade, it is more like a coal black. At least on the pieces I own it is that way. And I have a couple of Yurman pieces with the same black rhodium finish and they coordinate well with the JR pieces.
